Faced with the uncertainties linked to the health situation, and in order to increase the chances of organizing the event in better conditions, the organizing committee of the La Tour Genève Triathlon has decided to move the 2021 edition , initially scheduled for 10 and July 11, to the weekend of September 18 and 19, 2021 .
The thoughtful choice of this weekend at the end of summer will make it possible to maintain the racing program without impacting other triathlons in the surrounding area.
“Last spring, we were saddened to have to cancel this wonderful triathlon celebration. This year, we are very excited to be able to launch our event on the magnificent Left Bank , as we were supposed to do in 2020” says Benjamin Chandelier, event director.
Indeed, for the first time, the event will take place on the left bank of Geneva , from Eaux-Vives beach . Triathletes, novice or experienced, will be able to participate in one or more of the seven formats offered during the weekend, namely:
Saturday September 18: Short, Standard and Youth League formats
Sunday September 19: Half Distance, Discovery, Schoolchildren and Kidsathlon formats
Participants will have the chance to set off in an exceptional setting , while diving into the crystal clear waters of Lake Geneva and enjoying a spectacular view of the Jet d'eau throughout the course.
The diversity of challenges allows everyone to participate in one of the event formats. Juniors will challenge themselves in the aquathlon while adults will be able to challenge themselves in the discovery, short, standard or the famous half distance formats, all of which are possible in relays.
And for young hopefuls in the discipline, a format is specially dedicated to them, the Youth League , which will bring together nearly 70 licensees aged 14 to 15 .
While waiting for registrations to open, triple-effort enthusiasts can already reserve this date in their calendar and register without further delay on the waiting list in order to receive all the information on registrations and courses in advance. first.
