Corsair is pleased to announce its commitment as Partner and Official Air Carrier of OC Sport Pen Duick on its major transatlantic races to the West Indies: the Double Transat - Concarneau - Saint-Barthélemy, a major race on the Figaro circuit, as well as the legendary Route du Rhum - Destination Guadeloupe.
The French airline is involved in the Double Transat – Concarneau – Saint-Barthélemy, which will start on May 9 in Concarneau, Brittany. In 14 editions since 1992, this great transatlantic race, pillar of the French Elite Offshore Racing Championship, has revealed the biggest names in sailing, from Jean Le Cam to Armel Le Cleac'h. This year, it will once again pit around thirty sailors against each other in a double-handed and evenly matched event of 3,890 miles towards Saint-Barthélemy.
A strategic project that Corsair wanted to build over the long term, despite the complex health context: the company will thus continue its commitment to the Route du Rhum - Destination Guadeloupe, a legendary multi-class transatlantic cruise whose next departure will be in the fall of 2022 A complete partnership on one of the most emblematic races in ocean sailing which will permanently associate it with OC Sport Pen Duick and the Guadeloupe region, the exclusive major partner of the event.
Pascal de Izaguirre, Chairman and CEO of Corsair: “The partnership on two major transatlantic races to the Caribbean strengthens our anchoring in overseas territories. We are very proud to be alongside the Guadeloupe region in order to ensure our mission as official carrier and participate in the success of these two offshore racing events which share common values with those which drive our teams on a daily basis: passion, commitment and professionalism. »
Joseph Bizard, General Director OC Sport Pen Duick: “This partnership, essential to the organization of our events, will be at the heart of our future event plans. It also seals an eminently symbolic agreement as a link between two territories that Corsair and our great transatlantic races have the privilege of promoting. We are very proud to welcome Corsair to our side. »
Privileged conditions As part of this partnership, Corsair will offer specific advantages and pricing conditions to shipowners, skippers and their families, as well as to the boats' technical teams, race partners and the media.* Corsair will set up a dedicated team, available to help teams organize their travel.
