Removal of cargo return

To decarbonize the most famous of transatlantic races, we have officially banned the repatriation of sailboats by cargo ship in the notice of race for the 2026 Route du Rhum. This strong decision eliminates a highly polluting logistics operation by now imposing a return by sea.

In 2022, the return cargo transport had 1170tCO2e, with emissions ranging from 45 to 220tCO2e per ship.
