Removal of cargo return
To decarbonize the most famous of transatlantic races, we have officially banned the repatriation of sailboats by cargo ship in the notice of race for the 2026 Route du Rhum. This strong decision eliminates a highly polluting logistics operation by now imposing a return by sea.

- 1 170 tCO2e : This is the carbon footprint of the return cargo on the Route du Rhum - Destination Guadeloupe 2022
- 84 tCO2e : The carbon footprint of the return cargo of an IMOCA
- 44 tCO2e : That of a Class40
