  • The participants, called “Mates”, will have to cover 220km during 2 days and 1 night in teams of 2 to 9 runners
  • 28 relay points, 74 communes, 3 Swiss cantons and 1 French department crossed
  • About 200 teams are expected: groups of friends, colleagues, associations, sports clubs, families, etc.
  • 5 out-of-race challenges await the participants all around the lake

It’s time for a new edition of the relay race around Lake Geneva: Run Mate by Core-Lean. This year, the 200 expected teams will meet in Montreux to run counter-clockwise around the largest freshwater lake in Europe over two days.

The teams, composed of 2 to 9 Mates, will set off from Montreux on Saturday 24 September in staggered starts. The runners will take it in turns to run over 200km around the lake, using different types of terrain (paths, trails, pavements, etc.) until they reach the starting town again. The race takes place over two days and one night, allowing participants to enjoy a breathtaking sunset and sunrise. Arrivals will be on Sunday 25 September in the morning and until early afternoon.

ONE TEAM, ONE STORY

  • The green team

Flora and Romain have set themselves the crazy challenge of running around the lake together, in relays, using only their legs to run and cycle. Indeed, the team named “Bike and Run” will not sleep and while Flora will run, Romain will pedal and so on for 220km.

  • The Koh Lanta team of adventurers

The event has the honour of welcoming a team of adventurers from the TV show Koh Lanta. The “Koh-Lanta Team” is composed of Colin Mottas from Fribourg, but also of other French adventurers such as Marie Oheix, Louana Roy and Alexandre Tournaud.

  • The solidarity team

As in 2021, the “Magic Team EHC”, represented by employees of the Ensemble Hospitalier de la Côte, is running to raise funds for the Swiss cystic fibrosis association. Not one, not two, not three, but four EHC teams will be present this year.

Many teams are still to be discovered and the organisation invites you to follow the adventures of the teams directly in Montreux on 24 and 25 September and via our social networks.

For the latecomers who still wish to participate, online registration is open until Sunday 18 September at 23:59.
