An innovation for this edition

This year, whether from home or from the giant screen in the village, spectators will be able to follow almost all of the Ultra Marin® live.

From 1pm on Friday and until 3pm on Sunday, everyone will be able to follow the Ultra Marin® live on the website and also on the event social networks. With a programme full of emotion, fans will be able to get right to the heart of the event - day and night - and also share the podium moments.

The broadcasted races wil be the following :

  • Grand Raid 175km
  • Grand Relais 175km
  • Raid 100km
  • Trail 56km
  • Ronde des Douaniers 43km

In addition to the 50 hours of live coverage, the progress of the races can also be followed via the Livetrail. Around 20 checkpoints are set up for the event and will give a very precise idea of the position of each runner. Spectators will also be able to see and review the filmed arrival of their runners at certain feed stations.

Insights from across the courses
In order to enhance coverage and allow a close following of the runners, the majority of the course will be covered by fixed, mobile or drone cameras. By setting up these different types of cameras, the Ultra Marin® teams will be able to provide different points of view and varied coverage.

To accompany this images, Erik Clavery, world champion of Trail, and François Hinault, fine expert of the Breton trail, will be at the controls.

Joined by speakers from the municipalities, partners, exhibitors and many others, they will follow the progress of the runners, and will provide an insight into the technical sections and challenges of the course.

The former winner of the Trail format in 2012 and Raid format in 2014, Erik Clavery, is well placed to know what he is talking about.

The Golf of Morbihan: an exceptional territory

In addition to following the race, the live will also highlight unique panoramas in the world: those of the Golf of Morbihan.

This small inland sea of 5km wide and 21km long opens on the Atlantic Ocean and is considered one of "the most beautiful bays in the world" alongside Along Bay and San Francisco Bay. The ocean ventures into the heart of the land, and seems almost cut off from the rest of the world.

It is in this small corner of paradise that the Ultra Marin® takes place, and it is thus these sixteen municipalities which seem to encircle the sea that the runners will cross : Vannes - Arradon - Baden - Larmor Baden - Pluneret - Auray - Crach - Locmariaquer - Arzon - Saint Gildas de Rhuys - Sarzeau - Saint Armel - Le Hézo - Theix-Noyalo - Séne.

The live broadcast will allow each commune to highlight its heritage and the treasures that are hidden there thanks to video clips.
