The organisers of the La Tour Geneva Triathlon have confirmed the 2021 edition, which was originally scheduled for the 10-11 July, will now take place from 18-19 September, in view of the uncertainties linked to the current health situation.

The decision to move the event to the end of the summer will allow the race program to be maintained without impacting other triathlons in the area.

"Last spring, we were very disappointed to cancel this great triathlon event. This year, we are very excited to be able to relaunch our event on the beautiful left bank, as we were supposed to do in 2020," said Benjamin Chandelier, Event Director.

Indeed, for the first time, the event will take place on the left bank of Geneva, from the Eaux-Vives beach. Both experienced and beginner triathletes will be able to take part in one or more of the seven race formats on offer during the weekend, namely:

  • Saturday 18th September: Short, Standard and Youth League
  • Sunday 19th September: Half Distance, Discovery and Junior and Kids races

Participants will have the chance to run in an exceptional setting, while diving into the crystal-clear waters of Lake Geneva and enjoying a spectacular view of the Jet d'eau along the course.

The range of challenges available allows everyone to participate in one of the event's formats. The juniors will challenge themselves in the aquathlon, while the adults will be able to push themselves in the discovery, short and standard formats, or the famous half distance - all of which are possible in relays.

And for the young talents of the discipline, the Youth League will bring together nearly 70 licensees aged 14 to 15 years old in a specially dedicated format.

Triple effort enthusiasts can already reserve the event date in their calendar and register on the waiting list in order to receive all the information on the registrations and the courses in advance.
