Conceived by OC Sport in 2010, the Haute Route offers amateur riders three of the highest and toughest cyclosportives in the world.

Each event offers a 7-stage and 7-day cyclosportive, timed and open to all, across the world's most iconic cols, with 800-900km in total distance and 20,000 metres of climbing.

Haute Route 2015 Promo

Entry numbers are kept at just 600 riders per event to ensure a truly outstanding experience - as close to racing like a pro as any amateur rider can get - and plans are in place to develop the Haute Route concept in new territories. In 2017 OC Sport will launch the Haute Route Rockies in the United States.

"It seemed like hell at the time but I miss the weather, the spirit and the whole damn thing now!"

An experience of a lifetime

The Haute Route attracts a mix of amateur riders, semi-pros and sporting stars as the cycling trend continues to accelerate at an unprecedented rate. Riders from 50 countries competed in the 2015 Haute Route Alps. The Haute Route offers the international media an eclectic mix of human interest and sporting stories in addition to a dedicated TV programme. But most of all, the Haute Route is a huge personal challenge played out against an epic backdrop where the human spirit is tested to the limit and lifelong friendships are forged.

93% of riders in 2012 rated the Haute Route as either 'superb', 'top 3' or 'best ever' life experience.
