During a landmark year for the Haute Route in 2018 both of the flagship 7-day events in Europe are returning with revamped and rejuvenated courses that are sure to please amateur riders from across the globe. The Haute Route Alps returns to its original North to South route, now starting from the mountain town of Megève and finishing on the Mediterranean seafront in the city of Nice. The Haute Route Pyrenees will both start and finish in France's city of cycling, Pau, whilst also visiting numerous host towns and showcasing the best cols the Pyrenees has to offer.

Uniting on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice this morning, the 13,300 participants taking part in the 10th edition of the French Riviera Marathon Nice-Cannes set off at 8am with slightly overcast skies.
Ahead of the runners, was a 42.195km coastal course passing through many of the French Riviera's most famous landmarks and finishing on the famous Boulevard de la Croisette in Cannes.

At last the Volvo Ocean Race 2017-18 is getting down to business. After the training build-up, the official Prologue and the coastal racing of Leg 1, the fleet is about to test its mettle during three weeks in the Atlantic and Dongfeng Race Team is raring to go.
At a nominal 7,000 nautical miles, Leg 2 from Lisbon to Cape Town, which sets sail at 1400 local time on Sunday, is the second longest of the entire race and undoubtedly one of the toughest and most difficult in terms of strategy and weather.

The Running Expo Marathon Village for the tenth French Riviera Marathon Nice-Cannes officially opened its doors yesterday to thousands of running enthusiasts ready to take part in this great festival of running.
Around 13,330 runners are expected to toe the start-line on the Promenade des Anglais across three race formats on Sunday.

Uniting on the Quai du Mont-Blanc this morning, the 2200 participants taking part in the inaugural edition of the Geneva 20km by Genève Aéroport set off at 9:30am. Conditions were perfect for running on the day, with slightly overcast skies and clement temperatures ideal for fast times.
